Beginner Bonsai will cover the basics of Bonsai care, trimming, and wiring. In this hands-on class you will trim your Bonsai with the helpful hands of an expert!

Bonsai Beginner - no prior experience necessary. All ages are welcome that can independently participate in class.

1 Juniper Bonsai Tree and pot

Instructor: James Keith

James Keith is the current Vice-President of the Greater Louisville Bonsai Society (https://www.louisvillebonsai.org/), past, president, and long-time board member of the Prairie State Bonsai Society (https://prairiestatebonsai.com/), James has been practicing the art of bonsai for over thirty years. He is a graduate of the Eisei-en Intensive Bonsai Program in Mount Juliet, TN (https://bjornbjorholm.com/). He has attended numerous workshops, trainings, and courses with masters worldwide. He has appeared in several television programs to display trees from his collection and discuss bonsai art, including ABC7 Chicago and WGN Chicago Channel 9 news.
