  • What will we do at this class?

Each session will start with a presentation on key topics related to native plant gardening, followed by dedicated work time to apply what you've learned directly to your design. You’ll receive personalized support and expert advice to address your questions and tackle any challenges. By the end of the program, you’ll leave with a comprehensive, actionable garden design ready for implementation.

To maximize your experience, you’ll receive resources and instructions before the first class, along with assignments to complete between sessions. Expect to spend about an hour between classes on tasks that will deepen your knowledge and help you stay on track as you refine your design.

All materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop and obtain a soil test for your garden area before the first class (free soil tests are likely available through your county's Soil & Water Conservation District).

  • Who should attend?

Anyone seeking more structure in creating a native plant garden or natural landscape. Attendees are not required to have existing knowledge or experience with native plants. However, those new to the topic will find benefits in attending our Introduction to Native Plants class or spending some time with online resources ahead of class.
